We are instantly transformed into the most exclusive dinner theater imaginable. It was like something out of a movie. Civisca is terrific! At the break I shook his hand and thanked him for such a treat. Then I purchased this CD. Our evening was magic. The CD is my most prized audio track. Thanks for a wonderful evening Michael/5(4).

The order of the songs is marvelous. Beginning with the admission of love "nevertheless," he seeks love "where are you," cries "when your lover has gone, tries to rationalize "too young," thinks of the great times "Moonglow and Reminiscing," then smiles remembering "These Foolish Things." Love is contagious and painful. So, "Take it Slow."4/5.
For his third vocal jazz album, upstate New Yorker Michael Civisca finds himself with a trio doing a set of standard and traditional pop tunes. As on his other albums, Civisca shows an uncanny feel for the lyrics that allows his phrasing, timbre, and delivery to shine new light on songs that have already been the subject of attention by a myriad of good singers.
These Foolish Things is the debut solo studio album by Bryan Ferry, who at the time was still Roxy Music 's lead vocalist. The album was released in October on Island Records in the UK, and Atlantic Records in the United States. It was a commercial and critical success, peaking at number 5 on the albums chart in the United Kingdom.
Michael Civisca's interpretations of the songs on this CD are truly his own, no imitations here, take special note of cut eleven "These Foolish Things Remind Me Of You/You Take What Comes Along", it's straight to the heart.3/5(5).
Strange that one says the CD is from hunger while the other hungers for more of Civisca. This was my first meeting with him. I love Michael Crawford & Michael Feinstein. He is in a mode with more liveliness and a more jazzy voice. Civisca truly enjoys singing and this performance shows.4/5(1).
